MWB Business Spotlight:  Debbie Peevy

Mary Kay beauty consultant, Debbie Peevy, joined the Wetumpka Area Chamber of Commerce in January of 2010 bringing with her a burst of optimism and energy that is hard to find in these tough economic times.  She has been with Mary Kay since 2007 and really loves the product and the company.

Debbie sells cosmetics using the traditional home party business model as well as over the internet.  Meeting people and getting to know what products will work for them gives Debbie great satisfaction.  She frequently displays her cosmetic line at festivals and expositions.  Customers can sign up to host a party or for a personalized private facial where you can ‘try before you buy’.

Debbie’s plans are to continue to grow her business and become a Sales Director within the next few months.  She is well on her way by already having recruited and trained several new associates for her team.

Joining the chamber has helped to increase her client base.  Along with her membership came the opportunity to meet and work with people from all walks of life.  Debbie has taken a leadership role in the Minority and Women Owned or Managed Business (MWB) task force. She is chairperson of the committee planning the first MWB expo to be held in August.
